Over the years, in India, automation is taking place in industry at a very fast pace. This has led use of skilled manpower. As in the past the vast popularity and ever increasing demand for technology inspired us to start such a vocational courses at + 2 level. This has been accepted as it holds great promise for linking education with better employability of Rural youth.
Keeping in the view the importance of Vocational Education at +2 level, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kannad made all efforts to develop instructional materials and other supporting facilities and started Minimum Competency Vocational Courses from 1992 in following trades.
1) Electronics Technology 2) Mechanical Technology 3) Electrical Technology
The twenty-first century has brought before us the Information age. Information Technology literacy has become essential for advancing up on the career path for Rural youths. There fore from academic year 2008-09 , we started following new Information Technology based courses.
1) Computer Techniques. 2) Internet and Multimedia Technique. 3) Accounting and Auditing.
Since 1992 to till date 952 student successfully completed the course and 197 students started their own Business and 396 student engaged with different Industrial Organizations.
One of our student Miss. Anita Ambadas Gaikwad stood first in H.S.C. exam. Mar-1999 in Aurangabad District and Second in Aurangabad Divisional Board in the subject Electronics Technology.
Special features:
a) Well equipped Laboratories and workshop.
b) Practical oriented Courses.
c) All courses are covered under Apprenticeship Act. 1961.
d) For seeking Employment and self employment separate Certificate issued by Director of Vocational Educational Education and Training, Maharashtra State.
e) On the Job Training facilities available.
f) Self employment guidance cell.
g) After completion of this course, students can take higher education
in faculties of B.A, B.Com., B.Sc. as well as Diploma courses.
